The Centre for Simulation-Based Training is one of the most important centres at Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan. It was inaugurated by Her Excellency Lyonpo Dasho Dechen Wangmo on 17th September 2022 coinciding with World Patient Safety Day.
Various academic classes, trainings, workshops, continuous professional development programs are conducted at the center through task trainers, human patient simulators, and standardised patients.
Mission
The CSBT shall:
- Provide a state-of-the-art facility that encourages the learners to achieve a high level of competencies.
- Promote innovative teaching-learning by integrating simulation-based education into the traditional methods.
- Improve quality of care, patient safety and outcome with advanced knowledge, skills through high quality simulation-based training.
- Advance evidence-based practice by simulation-based education to ensure high reliability and sustainability in healthcare in Bhutan
- Institutionalize all lifesaving skills training courses in the country.
